Audrain County Area Genealogy Society
The society's expansive collection is located on the lower level of the Mexico-Audrain County Library. The collection includes but is not limited to Audrain County cemetery records, maps, county histories, and Federal census microfilm. They are currently in the process of recanvasing the cemeteries in Audrain County. Volunteers to walk the cemeteries and take photographs are welcome. Audrain County Historical Society
Audrain County Historical Museum and American Saddle Horse Museum are housed at the Graceland Museum which was built by John P. Clark. The mansion was host to Col. Ulysses S. Grant during the early days of the Civil War. Collections at the museum include the Fire Brick Museum, Country School and Church, and the American Saddlebred Horse Museum which includes Tom Bass memorabilia.
